Introduction
Potters Resort is a popular all-inclusive holiday destination on the beautiful Norfolk coast, known for its great entertainment, comfortable accommodation, and excellent leisure facilities. With over 100 years of hospitality experience, the resort is committed to maintaining high standards across all areas of operation. As a valued existing customer, Potters asked us to replace their old dishwashing system and refurbish the wash-up area to improve efficiency and hygiene.
The project began with full site preparation, which involved clearing the existing wash-up area and removing the old rack dishwasher along with the aluminium condensing hood. This allowed the team to start with a clean, open space ready for structural and mechanical improvements.
To achieve a level and durable foundation, a large section of the existing concrete floor was cut out and replaced. New floor drains were installed to improve water and waste management, and once the concrete had fully cured, a high-performance resin floor with a gritty, slip-resistant finish was applied. This provided a hygienic, hard-wearing, and safe surface suitable for the demands of a busy commercial ware-washing environment.
With the flooring complete, our in-house building team focused on upgrading the walls and ceiling. We installed fire-rated uPVC wall cladding throughout the wash-area to create a clean, hygienic, and easy-to-maintain surface, while a matching fire-rated uPVC ceiling was fitted to deliver a professional, durable finish.
The team also completed some mechanical and ventilation upgrades included fitting a new in house fabricated stainless-steel condensation hood. To maintain cost efficiency, the existing ventilation system was successfully reused and integrated into the new setup.
Finally, the room was ready for the installation of the new rack dishwasher, along with new sinks and a dirties table, all connected to newly installed plumbing. Once complete, the system was fully commissioned and tested to ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance. The project was successfully handed back to Potters, providing them with a modern, efficient, and hygienic wash-up area built to last.
