Introduction
The Guinness Arms forms an integral part of the Guinness family–owned Elveden Estate, renowned for its commitment to quality and sustainability. The pub offers a menu built around locally sourced, seasonal ingredients, drawing heavily on produce from the estate’s own farm as well as trusted suppliers across East Anglia. Its dining spaces range from a bright, spacious conservatory-style restaurant to a more intimate interior area, complemented by outdoor seating that overlooks beautifully landscaped gardens leading down to the River Lark.
With such diverse dining environments and consistently high demand, the Guinness Arms requires a kitchen designed to deliver exceptional workflow, efficiency, and reliability during even the busiest service periods
We were recently delighted to support the Guinness Arms in Elveden with a full renovation of their outdated kitchen layout, which had been impacting workflow and overall efficiency.
MCT began by completely stripping back the existing kitchen. This included removing all ventilation systems and equipment to create a clear, open space from which to redesign the layout.
Our team then installed new PVC White Rock wall cladding, providing a clean and hygienic surface throughout. Following this, we fitted a central island canopy complete with extract ductwork. The system incorporated a full filtration setup with pleated panel filters, helping to minimise grease and dirt build-up on the fan and significantly extending its service life.
With the infrastructure in place, our engineers installed a new island suite featuring a central control induction system. At the end of the kitchen, under the existing extraction hood, we fitted a new iVario and Rational unit to further enhance cooking capabilities.
Since the renovation, the kitchen team has benefited from a greatly improved workflow and noticeable increases in productivity.
