Introduction

The Colchester Inn group have recently took on a new restaurant at Ringland.

The main objective for this project was to maximise the available space and ensure optimal functionality for the kitchen. A key request from the client was to replicate the kitchen already successfully in use at the Recruiting Sergeant in Horstead and The Lodge at Salhouse.

Working in close collaboration with both the Colchester Inn Group and on-site managers, we drew on our experience from previous projects within the group to successfully deliver a full-service solution — from initial planning and design through to project management and final construction.

The project involved the complete fit-out of a brand-new commercial kitchen and ware-washing area, tailored to meet the demands of a high-volume hospitality environment.

Project elements included the supply and installation of white food-grade plastic sheeting, stainless steel wall cladding, and the laying of Altro safety flooring throughout the main kitchen and ware-washing area. A new gas pipeline was installed along with high-performance cooking equipment.

In addition, a fully equipped ware-washing area was constructed, featuring custom-fabricated tabling, shelving, and a new pass-through dishwasher.

All works were completed by our dedicated in-house team, ensuring quality and consistency throughout the project.
